Description

The Simpson Strong-Tie H1 is a hurricane tie designed to resist wind and seismic forces by positively connecting trusses/rafters to the top of the wall of the structure. The H1 is designed for nominal 2x lumber and is made of 18-gauge galvanized steel with a G90 galvanized finish for added corrosion resistance. The U-shaped hurricane tie provides faster installation than using two single-sided ties and holds the rafter or truss on both sides for high lateral load resistance. The embossments add stiffness in crucial areas for improved performance. The H1 hurricane tie can be installed on the inside or outside of the wall, or both sides, with flanges facing either inward or outward.
