Description

The Big Timber CTX Construction Lag Screw is a heat-treated and hardened screw that is more durable than ordinary screws and a superior alternative to traditional lag screws. It has sharp deep cutting threads and a knurled shank that allow for quick and easy driving into wood. The screw has a notched Type 17 point that allows for quick starting and prevents the screw from “walking”. The large diameter Round Washer head with a 6-Point Star (Torx) Drive allows for easy high-torque installation and reduces drive bit slippage. The screw is triple-coated with Big Timber’s proprietary exterior grade Bronze Star finish that exceeds the corrosion resistance standard of the ASTM A153 hot dip galvanized fasteners specification. The screw is ACQ certified.
